There are so many things I love about proposal photography, but my favorite part is getting to witness a moment that changes someone’s life forever.
Before The Proposal
Leading up to the proposal, I usually spend weeks helping plan the details. I answer questions, help choose locations, talk through backup plans, and reassure nervous partners that everything is going to be okay. By the time proposal day arrives, I feel invested in making sure the experience goes smoothly.
One of my favorite moments is watching the nervous excitement right before it happens. No matter how confident someone seems, there are always a few butterflies. Seeing that anticipation turn into pure joy once they hear “yes” never gets old.
After the Proposal
And then there are the messages afterward.
I love receiving a text that says, “She had absolutely no idea!” or hearing how excited family and friends were when they shared the news. Sometimes I even get photos of the celebration afterward, and it feels like I get to be a tiny part of the story long after the proposal is over.
