I felt so happy after Victoria and Casey’s engagement session at Lake Woodlands! Victoria wanted water for her engagement session and we found some of my favorite water in all of Houston! We did their engagement photos at East Shore on Lake Woodlands and along The Waterway.
On a personal note, in September 2020, my entire family flew to Houston for the first time. We knew we were moving here, we just weren’t sure exactly where. When I was doing all of my YouTube/Google research The Waterway and East Shore showed up all the time and so, of course, I took my family there first. We took a ride on the swan boats along the Waterway to take it all in. But, by the end of that, it was not a popular idea. Houston September was much warmer than I realized, everyone was sweaty, tired, and grouchy. But then we took a drive around East Shore along Lake Woodlands and all was restored. We were all in LOVE with The Woodlands area!
As I was photographing Victoria and Casey’s engagement session, all of those memories came flooding back. I can’t believe a year and a half later, I am back in those same spots that we fell in love with, but this time as a thriving, full-time wedding photographer in Houston. It’s moments like this that I feel so incredibly grateful for my sweet clients like Victoria and Casey.
It also just happened to be Victoria and Casey’s one-year mark until their Houston wedding at Dry Creek Gatherings in Houston. All of my fingers and toes are crossed for weather just like this at their wedding! It was a spectacular day for their East Shore engagement session along Lake Woodlands.
