Lauren and Austin’s wedding at The Farmhouse Venue was all I had dreamed it would be! The Farmhouse in Montgomery, Texas, is one of those wedding venues that I started following years ago. When we started thinking about moving to Houston, I began following The Farmhouse. I dreamed of the day I would shoot here the first time. It did not disappoint!

Austin and Lauren were married on the most beautiful April day! So gorgeous! Literally, not a cloud in the sky. The Farmhouse was made for light and airy photographers, like me. It is white inside and out, making that light radiate and my heart skip a beat.

Lauren chose light pink as her main wedding color and it was perfect! If you couldn’t guess, I am a big fan of light and neutral wedding color palettes because it speaks to me most as a light and airy wedding photographer. Side note: I do love all color palettes. Bring me all the dark color tones and watch me make it light and airy. That is why my couples come to me and I love it!

One of my favorite aspects of The Farmhouse is the wrap-around porch since is perfect in all weather scenarios. Today it was glorious shade! In those pictures, you can see the perfect light because of the white walls and the light ground. Ideal!

Houston Wedding Venue

Because Austin and Lauren have known each other since elementary school there was a lot of sweet emotion during their ceremony. Two families, coming together that have known each other for a long time is always so happy! I love capturing the emotion of parents, family, and friends during the ceremony because it is so raw and real at that moment. After the ceremony, you go into the fun reception and it is nice to look back on and see the feelings of that moment.
