Ryan and Christina’s engagement session at Hermann Park, Downtown Houston was unbelievably perfect! We had them scheduled for the month before and that morning it was dreary and rainy. At the last minute, we decided it was best to reschedule. Just so you know, I will never be bummed about rescheduling and rainy/windy day. Never. Do you know why? Because I want your engagement session to have this light. It’s not always possible, cloudy days can be pretty too. But this is the light I crave!
I will, however, strongly encourage you to reschedule if it is a dark, dreary, rainy day or a very, very windy day. Not because I’m lazy. And not even because I don’t like to stand in the rain. But, because with your engagement session, you have a little control. Control you won’t have over your wedding day. A big piece of engagement session advice: schedule your session with plenty of time, so we have the option to reschedule, if absolutely necessary.
Ryan and Christina are getting married this fall and I knew from the time that I FaceTimed with them last year that it was going to be a dream day! I mean, how adorable are they? I know that I have said this before, bring your dogs to your engagement session and these 2 understood the assignment.
My next piece of engagement session advice is for when you bring your dogs to your engagement session. This topic deserves its own blog post. But, if you are going to bring your dog or dogs to your session, bring someone with you to walk around with them, or just hold them when they aren’t in pictures. Christina’s parents came and walked the dog around to get them good and tired and ready for their close-ups. It was perfect!
I’m am in love with how their pictures turned out, I wish I could order this weather for every engagement session and wedding day! Check out some of my favorites.
