An engagement session at Hermann Park is always a good idea. There are so many amazing spots in Houston for your engagement session, but this really is one of my favorites. With the monuments and reflection pool and the light is just so clean. To me, this look is so regal and classy! I know so many are from here and don’t understand how really lucky you are to have so many options. But you are so lucky! And, as a photographer, I feel so lucky!
Hermann Park Engagement Session
There are many spots within Hermann Park for your engagement session, spending the time at the monuments is my favorite. There is the Colonnade, its actual name is the Mecom Rockwell Colonnade, it is adjacent to the park, but is my favorite place to start your session because of the beautiful light and trees! During the spring and summer, there are so many beautiful flowers and trees that add so much to the regal look of the colonnade.
The Sam Houston Monument stands at the front of the park. The light here is so perfect for the light and airy images that you get from Mollie Jane Photography. You literally cannot go wrong here on a sunny evening. And then just a quick jaunt over to the reflection pool is so fun!
I was so excited when Andrew and Rachel wanted to do their engagement session at Hermann Park! They wanted to hit all of my favorite spots, plus they brought their puppy! I know I have talked about this about 100 times, but ALWAYS bring your puppy to your engagement session (and bring someone to puppy-sit, it makes it easier).
Bringing a puppy-sitter is my #1 tip for bringing your dog to your engagement session. It takes the stress off so you don’t have to worry if your dog is safe, especially in a busy place like Hermann Park.
This session was magical! Here are a few of my favorites:
