Football Season Starts TODAY: Go Cougars!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am 100% committed to my alma mater.  I LOVE BYU!!!  It all started when I was very young, I decided that was where I was going to go to college.  Everything I did, I made sure pointed me in that direction.  Fast forward to my senior year of high school…I didn’t get in.  To say I was devastated, was an understatement.  I decided to go to Ricks College in Idaho (it is now called BYU-Idaho), which, by the way, was the best thing ever!  Two of the best years of my life.  But I worked really hard, Ricks was only a 2 year school, so I got my Associates Degree and I GOT IN to BYU, finally!  Dreams do come true, with a lot of hard work, and not always the way we think they should.  One of the first things that I did was get my Sports Pass so I could go to EVERY SINGLE BYU FOOTBALL HOME GAME!  BYU Football is and always will be running through my veins.  I loved those years of sitting in the student section cheering so loud that I lost my voice, good times!

Side note:  After I graduated from BYU, I attended the University of Utah to get my degree in photography.  They are our ultimate enemies when it comes to sports, but especially football.  It is intense, it’s called the Holy War.  And although I loved going to the U, I made great friends there and got my degree that I use on a daily basis, I was still 100% commited to my Cougars.  I wore blue on game days and didn’t care about the looks that I got.  I bleed blue!

I truly don’t care if they are doing awesome or terrible (it is definitely more fun when we are having a good season), I am a FAN.  Not a fair-weather fan.  A fan through thick and thin.  And I always will be.  I’m hoping to instill this love to my kids also.  Leo and Bella love BYU, we love going to visit and getting new shirts at the Bookstore, but, as of yet, the football bug hasn’t set in.  But, Andre, I handed him the football on the field and it was like he knew his calling in life.  You’ll be able to tell by the pictures, he loved it!  We may have a football player on our hands.  The funny thing is, we always said he was built like a football player, he has this cute, stocky build.

The fun thing about these pictures is, thanks to a friend, we got to do these pictures on the football field at Rancho Cucamonga High School.  That is my old high school!  This awesome field is only 2 years old and definitely didn’t exist 20 years ago, when I was there, but it was so fun to take pictures of my kids at my high school!

Our 2018 Football season starts TODAY!  I am so excited!  We did this little photoshoot to commemorate it.  Maybe it will give us a little luck.  Fingers crossed!  GO COUGARS!BYU Football Photo Shoot

He may not be desined to be on the football field, but he’s destined to be a Coug.  And a heartbreaker!

How did I get so lucky to get this princess?  She is a lot like me, she has a lot of determination.

My favorite little humans!!  (Don’t ask me about the glasses.  I told you she has a lot of determination and she was determined to wear these fake glasses because they matched her shirt.)
