During Kristen and Jake’s engagement session at Brazos Bend State Park, Kristen asked if I wanted them to hop in the tree for a picture. Was that even a question? Of course! Believe me, that is no easy task! This giant oak tree in Brazos Bend State Park is legend! But it is also not an easy thing to climb, but Kristen and Jake are troopers and they got it done! The result is MAGIC! Friends, don’t be afraid to be adventurous in your engagement session!

Brazos Bend State Park Engagement Session

What is your favorite thing about this amazing tree? I can’t decide. Is it how old and big it is? The green moss that grows on it? Or the Spanish Moss? I think it is a combo of all three, but my favorite characteristic is by far, hands down the beautiful Spanish Moss. I’m a sucker for it! Definitely, the best view of it is looking up, I think that is why I am in love with these pictures of Kristen and Jake sitting on its branches.

I could have hung out by the oak tree the entire engagement session, but instead, we found gorgeous light and tall grass, another of Brazos Bend State Park’s characteristics that make photo sessions here so perfect! We walked around and hit all of the amazing spots until we lost our light and we ended with a fun champagne pop to celebrate their engagement. So perfect! I highly recommend a champagne pop at your engagement session. They really make for such fun pictures!

Kristen and Jake are getting married at Arrowhead Hill this fall! Be still my heart! Not only do I adore these two, but they are getting married during my favorite season at one of the most beautiful venues in Houston! So fun! I don’t want to hurry through summer. So many great days and weddings coming. But the fall is going to be epic too!
