The light during Justin and Anna’s engagement session was amazing at Mercer Botanic Gardens! When we moved here last year, my son and I would go “location scouting” (those are some really fun memories). We visited Mercer Botanic Gardens right after Houston’s Snowmageddon. I remember saying, this will be gorgeous after things grow back. And I learned at Justin and Anna’s engagement session, it is!
I’m a little bit jealous of Anna, she is in the marching band at my alma mater, BYU. She gets to go to every football game (at least the home games). But, when we did this session, they had just gotten home from the bowl game in Louisianna. So jealous! What is wouldn’t give to be able to go to every game!
Mercer Botanic Gardens Engagement Session
Justin and Anna are just the most adorable couple ever! So in love and it just radiated all throughout their engagement session at Mercer Botanic Gardens. They had a whirlwind romance and I’m obsessed with their story! They are both from the same city, but didn’t know each other. Within days of getting home from a 2 year mission for his church, they were dating and the rest is history!
Their engagement story is the best! This is in Anna’s words: “He proposed on Labor Day weekend. I’m in the BYU Marching Band and I got back from the Las Vegas football game mid-afternoon on Sunday. Me and Justin had planned a little getaway to his grandparents in Cedar, so immediately when I returned to BYU I hopped into his truck and we drove down to Cedar. It was so nice to getaway. I got to see his grandparents again, and we went hiking in a national park. After our hike, he told me that he was gonna go introduce me to some of his old mission companions and watch the sunset – then, we were gonna go to this steakhouse in the mountains. I was so excited – and completely oblivious. We went up to Sunset View in Cedar Breaks (one of the best places to watch the sunset) and 2 guys from his mission were waiting there. Again, I was so oblivious – literally, one of them brought a camera and was taking pictures of the scenery. Right at the climax of the sunset, he got down on one knee and proposed. I was completely surprised, and I very excitedly accepted.”
Seriously! How fun is this wedding going to be?! I can’t wait! Just look at some of my favorites. They are so adorable!
