Sam and Kristine’s Galveston Engagement session is what dreams are made of. Have you been on the east side of Galveston to Beachtown? Are you kidding?! It’s gorgeous! Brand new homes that encapsulate what I think a southern beach looks like! It was the perfect backdrop for Sam and Kristine’s engagement session!
Galveston Engagement Session
I am no stranger to beach sessions. I have done hundreds (literally) of sessions on the beach, families, engagements, weddings, seniors, everything, but…this was one of the first in Texas. And it is a little different. The biggest thing is that the sun does not set over the water, that is a big thing for a photographer. Where the sun sets is pivotal to your session and how you set it up. There are also no rocks or cliffs and the sand is very different. But, I loved this session so much. I actually really love that the doesn’t set over the ocean! We can see the sun so much better and use it throughout the entire shoot. Because we are using the ocean the entire shoot we don’t need the rock and cliffs! At the Beachtown beach, we do have the beautiful homes that we can use as a background, along with the beach plants. I loved that so much. Since we had gorgeous light the entire session and we had an open beach, I loved how it was just about them and we got to see so much of their personalities and their relationship. This really is one of my favorite sessions yet!
Sam and Kristine are super outdoorsy, they love to hunt and fish, it was so perfect that they chose the beach in Galveston where they spend so much time. Their wedding is also in Galveston, at the Lyceum this next spring. I got to drive by it while I was down there and I can’t wait!!
Here are some of my favorites from their session. I had so many, I had a hard time narrowing it down!
