This maternity session began at the Sabine Street Bridge at Buffalo Bayou Park. When Megan said she wanted to begin their shoot here, in the morning, I was worried. Y’all, I’m NOT a morning person. But it was EPIC! The sun coming up behind Houston made for the most beautiful backdrop!
Also, I 10/10 recommend bringing your dog to your maternity (or, really, any) shoot! Yeah, it’s not the easiest thing in the world, but these are memories that you will cherish forever. We brought our dog, Chloe with us to our first, Leo’s, maternity session and Andre’s maternity session. I will always regret not bringing her to Bella’s session. She is family, and now that she isn’t with us anymore, I wish I had more pictures of her. Learn from me, bring your puppies, big or small.
If you have been to the Sabine Street Bridge, you know that it is just that small area. A gorgeous and scenic area, but, you are definitely going to want a 2nd location.
For our 2nd location, we headed over to South Boulevard in Houston. South Boulevard is one of the most famous areas for pictures in the Houston area! I was so excited to shoot here! It did not disappoint! It was just as beautiful as I thought it would be with the green canopy trees and brick walkways, surrounded by the most beautiful homes!
I am so happy with how this session turned out and these two beautiful locations. Meeting the Greer family was such a pleasure! I can’t wait for them to welcome their sweet baby next month!
