Ashlyn and Hunter’s The Springs Wallisville wedding was a literal DREAM! People ask me all the time if I miss shooting weddings at Southern California venues. I did have some great ones, but NO! Seriously, NO! Houston wedding venues at the most beautiful that I have ever seen. They are so ME. Give me a white barn over the beach any day of the week! I really think I was born to be a wedding photographer in Houston!

This entire wedding was perfect from beginning to end! Ashlyn’s mom and dad are former wedding photographers so they planned this day perfectly with wedding photography in mind. They gave us plenty of time for details and all of the formal images our hearts could desire. Every detail was perfection! Oh! And let’s not forget how adorable Ashlyn and Hunter are! So in love. So affectionate. I knew it would be so wonderful after their engagement session, you can see that HERE.

Yes, my friends, it was a hot August day in Houston, but these two were troopers! I think the key is to take breaks. We had 3 time slots to do the formal pictures. We were as quick and effective as possible and got back in the air conditioning and drank a lot of water. This Southern California wedding photographer is learning how to function in this Texas summer. The keyword is: learning.

Ashlyn and Hunter’s day was full of beautiful emotion. Happy tears were flowing all around. It really made for the most joyful day, I could not ask for more! When I asked Ashlyn how her wedding planning process went, she said: “Not as bad as I originally expected it to be. Having a lot of friends and family to help really goes a long way!” I think that speaks so much of their wedding day, so much love from family and friends!
