This sweet couple planned their Los Angeles Temple Wedding right!  The day went so smoothly and we had EXTRA time even after we went to a second location AND drove through Los Angeles.  I have seriously done dozens and dozens and dozens of LDS Temple weddings in my wedding photography career and this rarely happens, especially in LA, the traffic is always horrendous!  If you are planning your Los Angeles Temple wedding (or any temple wedding), these are a few things that Matt and Brittany did that, I think, helped this day go so smoothly.

1.  Plan your sealing earlier in the morning.  This is hard, believe me, I know.  Their sealing was at 10am, anything at this time, or even a little before will help a TON.  They were the only wedding, there was no waiting inside the temple or when they came out.  That also meant that we left the temple earlier and beat a lot of traffic!
2. We were organized!  We went over family pictures before, we knew what we had to get done and we were efficient!  Go to THIS blog post for some extra tips.  Because of this, we finished quickly and were able to move on to couple pictures around the temple before another bride came out!
3. A lunch on-the-go was provided.  We went straight from the temple to location number 2 right away.  We went to Pasadena City Hall.  We were able to get there early enough in the day to be the only ones there, for a bit.  AMAZING!  Pasadena City Hall is always so crazy on Saturdays with wedding parties and quinceaneras.  Because of this we were able to finish efficiently, without waiting for the spots that we needed.

After this, we had 2 full hours before we needed to be at their reception for detail pictures and a few more family and bridal party pictures.  It was amazing!  I really think the key to this kind of day is to START EARLY!  Do you live far from the temple where you are getting married?  My advice:  rent a hotel or air b&b, seriously!  You will thank me later.

Brittney’s stepdad owns a wonderful restaurant in La Canada and we were able to enjoy, my personal favorite, TACOS!  Yum!  Los Gringos Locos!
